Had lunch here, huge portions but good food and nice staff, even had a quick game of pool!

A staple in Tambor, but worth the label! Always great service, the best food in town, and a solid mix of ticos and foreigners. They offer service the those sitting at the tables in the beach, and I've never seen them turn away someone who needs the WC. Even when the parties get a bit loud, I've never felt unsafe...this place is a gem!

Fantastic food, amazing service and incredible view! We ate here 2x for dinner and it was amazing both times. We are from pacific coast in Canada and we were really impressed by the sushi quality. (We are typically really picky!) Prices are higher, but you pay for what you get.

All of the food we had at Gitanos was Excellent! Everyone enjoyed their dishes. We went back the next day for a second round. We tried ceviche, yuca frita, arroz con camarones, costilla, nachos and (not pictured) shrimp and chicken quesadillas. Every dish was great. The server is also very friendly and attentive.

We've been here twice now and have really enjoyed the food, drinks, service and atmosphere. The prices are competitive with similar businesses for portion sizes. The steak pictured was listed on the menu as 'serves 2' but all 3 of us dined and still had leftovers for lunch the next day The music is also fun

Nice authentic local restaurant on the seafront with tasty food and Hügel portions for fair prices. Super feiendly and quick service. We (family of 4 from Germany) had a great stay and can absolutely recommend Gitanos.

The atmosphere was nice and near the beach, with music. Lemonade tasted good. The rice was alright. Thought the seafood rice, had like no crab meat, just the shell. The random seashells in the rice rarely had meat and when they did they tasted like sand. The squid, lobster, and shrimp were good in the seafood rice. The fries on different plates were done too crispy or not fully cooked. Vegetables were fresh and tasty. Maybe the other foods taste much better than the rice.
